Volunteers keep NMA going, without them many of the trails we ride wouldn’t exist. Your time as a volunteer makes you a central part of our community, not to mention, It’s a blast! Volunteering on the trails, in the office, at an event, or on your chapter’s board is also a great way to make new friends.
Our chapters are always busy and looking for help in a variety of ways, whether on the local council or on the trails. Each chapter has its own board of directors that meets monthly. Each chapter also has many committees to help complete a variety of important work.
The NMA is always looking for more of our members to get involved and help us in a variety of ways with running your Association. We need members working on legislative and land use issues, building relationships with and working cooperatively with land managers, writing grant applications, managing grants, maintaining our tools and tool trailers, keeping people informed of our activities, fundraising, managing our competition and poker run series, handling membership purchases, recruiting new members, etc. If you have the passion, we will find a place for you to make an impact. No experience required!
