Volunteers are essential to NMA. Contributing your time as a volunteer forsters meaningful connections while strengthening our community. It’s an enjoyable and engaging way to support NMA’s mission. Volunteering on the trails, in the office, or at an event are all excellent ways to keep the flywheel turning!

A Note From Our Executive Director

Did you know your volunteer hours can help NMA obtain trail maintenance grants, which helps us support not only the trails, but the dirt biking volunteer community? You can be a part of the awesome Moto-Volunteer Trail Crew by registering in our volunteer tracking tool. Reporting your time in our system helps NMA show how much Moto-Volunteers do, which is super useful when we talk with lawmakers or other groups about keeping and improving dirt biking trails. Also, our “extra” hours are donated to the land agency where the work was performed. That’s a win for all! Plus, NMA wants to thank you for your efforts with some cool stuff like NMA memberships, shirts, and event entries. The more you put in the bigger the thanks. That’s the Moto-Volunteer Program. I created it to improve support for volunteers, which in turn improves support for the trails we love, and better equips NMA to partner with land managers and other nongovernment organations (NGOs). I hope you’ll take advantage of the program and help it continue to grow. In doing so, you become part of the NMA. Thanks a ton for helping out and being a part of the org that supports the sport! Don’t forget to sign the online waiver form and check out the volunteer calendar for work parties.

Work Parties

Like to work in the great outdoors?  Come help us make trails better!  Tools are supplied at all NMA-led work parties. You can use supplied tools, bring your own tools or simply bring your desire to help and learn! Either way, your presence, participation and sweat equity are welcomed!  Click below to learn more.

Events & Committees

Not all NMA volunteerism occurs on trails. There’s a lot work happening behind greasy keyboards and in garage offices, and we’re always looking for help. Data analysis, project planning, volunteer coordination…just about any kind of office work…we have a need for your skillsets. You can volun-work from home!
